Questions? We’ve got answers

Beeswax wraps are ideal for covering bowls and wrapping sandwiches, cheese, fruit, vegetables, bread and snacks. The three different sizes make it easy to choose the right wrap for different everyday needs.

Place the wrap around the food or over a bowl, then gently press and shape it with the warmth of your hands. The beeswax softens slightly and helps the wrap hold its shape.

Rinse gently with cool or lukewarm water and, when needed, a small amount of mild soap. Leave them to air-dry completely before folding and storing them. Avoid hot water and the dishwasher, as heat can damage the beeswax coating.

Yes. Beeswax wraps can be used in the fridge and can also be used for freezing food. If frozen, allow the wrap to soften slightly at room temperature before unfolding it to help protect the wax coating.

No. Always allow food to cool completely before wrapping it. High temperatures can soften or melt the beeswax and shorten the life of the wrap.

For hygiene reasons, avoid using beeswax wraps with raw meat or raw fish. They are best suited to bread, cheese, fruit, vegetables, sandwiches, snacks and bowls.

With proper care, beeswax wraps can be reused many times. Their lifespan depends on how often they are used, washed and exposed to heat. When the wax coating begins to wear thin, it can also be refreshed with EkoHem ReWax.
